Obituary
Brother John Parks was born on June 30, 1932 to the Late Joe and Emily Parks. He departed this earthly life on Sunday November 27, 2022 at Donalsonville Hospital.
He received Christ at an early age at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the Usher Board. Brother John worked for the Corps of Engineers for over 30 years.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Liza Mae Jones. Brother John Parks “Pops” as he was affectionately known as and called by family and friends is and will be greatly missed.
Brother John Parks leaves to cherish his most precious memory his devoted wife: Liza Mae Parks; daughters: Emma Jean Cobb, Sheryl Clark (Eric), and Pamela Parks; son: Johnny Roy Parks (Mitzi); Daughter-in-law: Gloria Jean Parks; grandchildren: Felisha Cobb, Gary Cobb Jr., Johnny Roy Parks, Jr., Haley Parks, Miller Taurus Parks, Qondale Cobb, Tywanna Cobb, Gabrielle Parks, JaMarlon Parks, Rashondra Crawford, Jontavious Crawford, Ariel Parks, Lakisha Leonard, Ashonda Leonard; 14 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and sorrowing family and friends.
He is preceded in death by son: Willie Frank Parks, daughter: Gloria Ann Parks Cobb, Granddaughter: Shaneka Cobb; son-in-law: Gary Cobb Sr.
