John Paul Brown known as “J.P” or “The Mighty Roc” was called to sleep on October 20th, 2019. John Paul was born October 21, 1946.
John Paul was the sixth child out of eight children. John Paul was born and raised in Donalsonville, GA to the parents Eddie Brown and Mary Leonard whom preceded him in death.
John Paul, met Dorothy Jean Brown in 1970, forty six years they joined together in the Holy State of Matrimony on the Twenty First day of April, 1973. J.P. lived an amazing life. He was a high school graduate of Seminole County class of 1966, which he played in the band for many years. After high school, he pursued a profession as a Master Barber “The Legend”.
J.P. proceeded in death by his two brothers: Willie Murphy, Eddie Brown Jr; One Sister: Ruby Oliver.
J.P. leaves to cherish his memories: Derrick Sampson of Decatur, AL; Janice Moore of Orlando, FL; Michael (Angela) Brown of Atlanta, GA; Deatrice Brown Harris of Atlanta, GA; Everette (Leslie) Handsford of Bainbridge, GA; Kevin (Rowena) Handsford of Midland, TX; and Shakedia (Gregory) of Donalsonville, GA; Special daughters: Shandora (Terry) Hopkins of Donalsonville, GA; Special granddaughter: Charmaine Smith of Clarksville, TN; Special Grandson: Tremelle McGhee of Clarksville, TN;

GA; Special Nephews: Laman Oliver of Colquitt, GA , Charles Lawson of Tallahassee, FL and Reginald Donalsonville; Special Niece: Ruthie Mae Kinder of Newark, NJ; Fourteen grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
