Obituary for Johnnie E. Henderson
(JABO) A wonderful loving Husband, Father, and Friend. Was born in (Miller County) Colquitt Georgia on September 7, 1933 to the late Reverend J.E. Pugh-Kirby, and Nona Henderson. Johnnie attended Miller County High School, and as a youth he began his ealy Christian life at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Johnnie later moved to Hallandale Beach Florida where he later met the love of his life Thelma. On December 14, 1957 Johnnie and Thelma Alice Dingle married, and to this union Six Children were born. Johnnie worked in the 1960's as a City of Hallandale Beach Reserve Police Officer, then for the Sanitation Department. He was also employed by Pan American Manufacturing in North Miami. Johnnie later worked in construction as a builder/worker for Welch Plastering Construction Company for over 20 plus years until his retirement. Johnnie will be lovingly missed by: His devoted wife of 58 years Thelma Alice Dingle Henderson, five sons Larry (Patricia) Hopkins of Bainbridge, Georgia; Johnny Henderson of Hollywood, Florida; Anthony (Mary) Henderson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Charlton Henderson of Hallandale Beach, Florida; Broderick Henderson of Hollywood, Florida; Three Daughters: Sylvia Henderson of Hallandale Beach, Florida; Gloria (Michael) Anderson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and Renee (Jeffery) Corouthers of Miramar, Florida; One Brother Willie Edward Pugh of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; One Sister Beulah (Johnnie) O'Cain of Panama City, Florida; One Brother in Law Peter (Queenie) Pearson of Brooklyn, New York; Nine sister in Laws Georgia Mae Henderson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Lucille Henderson of Colquitt, Georgia; Rosalie (Keith) Holland and Helen (Harry) Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; Ollie and Maxine Pearson of Brooklyn, New York; Lillie (Isaiah) Owens of Mt. Vernon, New York; and Patsy Williams of Sumter, South Carolina and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nephews, Nieces, and sorrowing Family and Friends.
