He leaves to cherish his memories: parents mother: Helen Henderson Gaines; Father: Johnny Gaines, Jr.; Sister: Barbara Grimsley (Kenneth); Brother: Nathaniel Gaines; Niece: LaKendra Grimsley; Nephew: Kenny Jr.; Wife: Angela Johnson; Step-daughter: Sierra Johnson; Step-son: Iissah Johnson; Aunts: Clara Jones, JoAnn Bell, Lula Burke; Uncle: Bufford Gaines; and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. Willie and Georgia Henderson; Mr. Johnny and Louis Gaines; Sister: Christina Denise Gaines at birth: Infant daughter: Faith Janayah Gaines; First wife: Marshall Gaines.
Johnny was well known by many as a rapper and rapping in the Shing ding and his latest song called “It’s Christmas Time” with the help of his Step-daughter Sierra Johnson and quote his favorite saying was ”It is what it is”
