Obituary for Juanita S. Henry
Juanita Singleton Henry was born December 1, 1918 in Bainbridge, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Singleton and Carrie Williams Singleton. Juanita attended Decatur County Schools and graduated from Hutto High School; following her high school graduation she furthered her education at the Washington Beauty School in Albany, Georgia, and worked as a license beautician for many years. She retired after 25 years from Bainbridge Memorial Hospital and Manor where she was employed as a radiology technician. She was predeceased by two sisters Rosella Singleton & Rheunette Singleton and three brothers, Claude Nelson, Jessie Nelson and Herbert Nelson. She was a lifetime member of Nelson Chapel AME Church where she served as a stewardess. She was a dedicated election poll worker. She was granted her angel wings on May 21, 2014. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends touched in some small way throughout her very memorable life. Juanita will be lovingly remembered by two nephews Donald Nelson (Von) of Bainbridge, Georgia and Willie Bryant (Leniece) of Largo, Florida; two dedicated cousins Herbert Bell of Bainbridge, and Gordy Pough, of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to SPECIAL people whom enriched Juanita's life the past years: Apostle Erica Jackson (niece), Sherrita Price, Louise Close and Dr. C.T. Stafford and Peter J.
