With heavy hearts, we honor the life of Kierra Burney, who was born on May 8, 1989. A loving daughter, devoted mother, cherished sister, and dear friend, she touched countless lives with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
Above all, she was a dedicated mother to her beloved children: Riley A. Burney, Braylen R. Gibson, and Calista Joy Burney. She now joins her precious daughter, Hazel Renee Burney, in eternal rest.
She was the treasured daughter of Johnnie C. Alexander, Sr. and Shelia D. Alexander, and a loving sister to Johnnie C. Alexander, Jr. (Essences) and Denise L. Williams. She is now reunited in heaven with her siblings Jocelyn T. Alexander and Jessica M. Alexander, who preceded her in death.
Her love extended to her nieces, Jayllah M. Florence, Amari T. Alexander, Kyler S. Alexander, Emori J. Gadson, and Icelynn N. Jackson, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
She was blessed with the love and support of devoted aunts Tynese Bryant, Cheryl Miller, and Debra Burney, as well as devoted uncles Wayne Burney, Reggie Burney (Kim), and Tyrone Burney (Nicole). She also shared a special bond with her devoted cousins, Raven Burney, Adrian Tolbert, Rashad Jackson, Pamela Hayes-Randall, Nikita Jackson, Felicia Wise, Sedrick Miller, Jr., Merle Miller, and Melvin Bryant, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Hazel L. Burney; paternal grandmother, Rosa Mays; and paternal grandfather, Johnnie B. Alexander.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will never be forgotten.
