Obituary
Brother Charles Cooper earned his heavenly wings on January 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Lathan R. Cooper Sr. and Versie M. Woods.; a Brother Lathan R. Cooper Jr. and a sister who died at birth.
He worshiped at Travelers Rest Baptist Church and gave his life to Christ at an early age. He continued his faith on October 26, 2008 when he started worshipping at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover North Carolina.
Brother leaves to cherish his memories a wife of 44 years: Mittie Lanier Cooper; three sons: Pedi Cooper of Hickory, NC; Anwar R. Cooper of Charlotte, NC; and Charles M. Cooper of Burgos, Spain; two grandchildren: Pedi R. Cooper, II, Selena Beyonca Cooper of Atlanta, GA; brother: Christopher (Gwen) Cooper of Miami, FL; Uncle: Tommy (Maynard) Cooper of Duluth, GA; Brother-in-law: Willie Lanier, Jr.; of Detroit MI; Sisters-in-laws: Bernice (Tony) Baker of Atlanta GA; Dorothy Lanier of Atlanta GA; Helen (William ), Ida (Clearance )Johnson of Pensacola FL; and Ruth Lanier of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other sorrowing family and friends.
