Obituary for Larry B. Thompson "Budda"
I have fought a good fight, have finished my course, I have kept the faith 2-Tim 4-7 Brother Larry Bernard "Budda" Thompson, was a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on August 31, 1969 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Leo Thompson Sr. and the late Alice Lee Blount Thompson. He was educated in the Decatur County school system. For several years, Brother Larry demonstrated his love for welding as an employee of Zemex General Chemical Industrial Products. Brother Larry completed his spiritual matriculation as a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Brinson Georgia under the leadership of Reverend Cleveland Sanders. Brother Larry believed strong in the power of God and his relationship with God was very personal. He was a very active choir member and never let being blind hinder him. He was devoted to his walk in God and loved the Lord God with all his heart. He is preceded in death by his siblings: James E. Close, Latha D. Green, Glory Jean Thompson, and Jimmy L. Thompson. His memory will live on through these he served and touched during his life. His survivors and descendants include, a devoted wife: Mantessa Thompson of Bainbridge, GA, Seven Children: Aaron Thompson and Canessa Thompson of Atlanta GA, Anise Thompson, Darius Thompson, Candance Johnson, Brandi Thompson and Brandon Thompson all of Bainbridge, GA. Three step children: Dominaque, Mercedes, and Darius. He also has six grandchildren. His surviving sibling: Felicia A Jeffery, Margaret Thompson, Secedel Thompson(John Lee Beard) and Janice(Ozell) Samuel of Bainbridge, GA, Seaesther Thompson and Leo(JoAnn) Thompson Jr of Detroit Michigan, and Thelma Hickman of Tallahassee, Fl. His Mother-in-law and Father-in-law: Willie and Rose Brooks, Brother-in-laws: Timothy (Sandra)Stergan, Laron(Shawn) of Quincy, FL. Sister-in-laws: Myra (Fred) McPherson, Bridget Brooks, LaRhonda (Earnest) Brooks all of Quincy. A Special Aunt: Ethel M. Burns. Two very special friends: Mack Davis and Andy Guy of Bainbridge, GA and a host of sorrowing loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and devoted friends.
