Obituary for Lessie Mae Taylor
Mrs. Lessie Mae Taylor, Loving Mother, dedicated Wife, Grandmother. Aunt, Sister, cherished Friend, and faithful Christian was born on April 1, 1929 to the late Mrs. Everlena and Wade Dennis in Decatur Count)-, Georgia. She departed this life on Sunday, August 10,2014at River Chase Care Center, Quincy, Florida. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Elorendo. She later joined Swanswall Missionary Baptist Church, Brinson, where she served in many capacities including Deaconess, Mother of the Church, Choir member, Kitchen Committee, and faith fully represented Swanswall at Union Meeting and Associations as well as other church activities until her health failed. She graduated from Brinson Vocational High School. She was a home maker for many years and was later employed with ITT before retiring and enjoying life as a loving grandmother. We are honored to have you join us in the celebration of our Mother's lite. The world has lost an extraordinary person, who loved people, her family, and friends. One who would always go that extra mile for anyone who needed her help. We are very thankful for all family and friends who helped our Mother during her last years. In 1950, Lessie was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Elijah (Sam) Taylor. They were blessed with seven (7) lovely children. She was preceded in death by her husband (Sam), one (1) son (Willie Preston Taylor), two (2) sisters and one (1) brother. She leaves a legacy of love and inspiration to cherish her memory to her six (6) children and grandchildren, who will forever love and miss her. Two (2) sons; Gary L. Taylor (Elaine) Brinson and Wallace G. Taylor (Donalsonville); Four (4) daughters; Diane Taylor and Sandra Edwards (Albany) Barbara Penick (Bruce) Brinson and Linda Johnson (Wil) Attapulgus. One sister Senella Gibson (Telsord, Pennsylva��nia), and one (1) brother: Wade Dennis (Buddy) Cairo. One (1) sister in-law Annette Taylor (Brinson); grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
