Obituary for Louise Akins Ray
LOUISE AKINS RAY was born August 31, 1970 in Quincy, Florida to the late Mr. Jessie James Akins and Mrs. Betty Jean Akins. She was affectionately called "Booty" and "Ray" by many. Louise attented the public schools of Decatur County, Georgia. She was a member of Brinson Holiness Church in Bainbridge, Georgia. She and her husband Jimmy were the owners of J&L Gift shop, located on the square in downtown Bainbridge. Louise was a loving wife and devoted mother. Whenever her children Dominique and Derrick expressed a need for something, she would always tell them "I'll see". Louise and was very compassionate, understanding and fun to be around. She was always willing to listen and lend a helping hand. She enjoyed home interior decorating and watching scary movies while eating Hot Tamale candies. Louise leaves to cherish her memories a devoted and supportive husband of twenty-one years, Jimmy Lee Ray, two loving children, Derrick Akins and Dominique Ray, all of Bainbridge, Georgia; her mother, Ms. Betty Akins of Bainbridge; one brother, Jessie Akins Jr. of Bainbridge; five sisters: Alice Brown, Dionne Akins, Shirley Sanders (Lamar), Gloria Thomas(Terry), all of Bainbridge, and Lottie Halyes (William) of Palm Beach, Florida; a very special mother-in-law, Ms. Bobbie Jean Dixon, father-in-law, Mr. Willie Ray, sister-in-law, Ms. Naomi Clayton, all of Bainbridge, Georgia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. ��
