Obituary for Mae Etta Mason
Mae Etta Mason was born on May 11, 1920 to the late Will and Luvina Write in Donalsonville, GA. Sister Mason departed this life to be with the Lord on January 31, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Sister Mason loved GOD, accepted His gift of Eternal Life and lived for Him. She was a member of the former Wesley Chapel AME Church in Bainbridge, GA. Her life was a testimony of her daily walk of faith. She loved unconditionally, cared for others and was always willing to share was she had. Daily she surrendered her all to God in prayer. She understood that God's grace was sufficient and he would supply all of her needs according to his riches in Glory. Sister Mason was not afraid to dying because she knew that when she died she would have a house in heaven, an eternal body made by God Himself. Sister Mason was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Write; five sisters, Essie Thomas, Luvina Marshall, Eunice Tooks, Margaret Roberts and Margie Allen; and her husband, Richard Mason. Sister Mason leaves to celebrate her life, a stepdaughter, Zenell Wiggins (Herman) Jarratt, Virginia; neohews and nieces, Cleveland Jones (Pearl), Jacksonville, FL, Clifford Write (Erma), Woodstock, GA, Curtis Wright (Kathy) Tacoma, Washington, Mildred Richards Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alberta Easton Jacksonville, FL, Dorothy Sharp Chisholm Jacksonville, FL. and loving family members and friends. Sister Mason loved her family, but one special grandniece, Camilla Ross, brought extra joy to her life. Her close Christian friends who loved and cared fir her are Sister Callie Williams, Jimmy and Vera Tribble, Sister Vivian Lamb and Sharon Williams "Stay with GOD" were closing words she shared with all who talked with her. She will be missed b those who knew and loved her.
