Obituary for Mary Frances Moore
Mary Frances Moore was a Godly woman; one who feared God and followed His divine counsel. She was blessed with wisdom and exhibited her gift in her 82 years of living. She was the voice of reason in the Moore family, serving with honor as the family's matriarch. She was the family's "griot" or preserver of family stories. Mary Frances was the spiritual leader who provided her members with lessons in truth to shape ethical and moral characters, world class work ethics in God's vineyard and in the occupational career world or work. She encouraged her fold (daughters and grandsons, nieces and nephews, as well as siblings) to get an education-- be it career-based or vocational so that life provisions would be honestly gleaned and opportunities be available. Mary Frances lived by example she never expected from others what she was unwilling to give. Mama (affectionately called by her children and grandchildren), was the family's jewel. She had a diamond character and sapphire personality that lit up every life that she touched. She was full of love for her family and for her fellowman. She was a "woman of integrity" with a heart of gold. She loved neighbors and friends. She added value to their living. She enjoyed the families that she worked for and had undivided loyalty towards them. She was a proverbial woman aglow with the spirit of Christ. She was one of "God's hardworking soldiers" on the spiritual battlefield encouraging others to get in the WORD and follow the WAY. She also worked with an ardent heart and generous spirit in the workplace, giving of her reasonable service to "earn her keep." She was a "lesson in truth" of love personified--a strong woman of virtue. Mary Frances Moore was born in Randolph County, Georgia to parents William Davis and Fannie Kate Middlebrooks on September 10, 1932. She was the 5th of 14 siblings. She received her formal education in Randolph County Public Schools. Mary Frances was married to Frank Moore. They were the proud parents of two beloved daughters, Merry Loretta Davis and Annette Moore. They blessed her with five very special grandsons; Brandon, Roderick, Jarrod, Scott, and Christopher. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren; Donovan, Stephen, Jayden, and Michael. Included in her intimate family circle was a special niece and adopted daughter, Karen Sasser. Mary Frances's Christian education was developed at the Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Climax, Georgia. She loved her church family passionately. She sang in the choir as her reasonable service. Mary Frances was an earth angel whose wings are now hung up in her heavenly mansion because her mission on Earth has been accomplished. She is now peacefully sleeping in the soft bosom of Abraham awaiting God to call, "Mary come on in, Heaven's door has been opened for you for your well-done job as dispatched angel on Earth. Come now, child and enjoy your Heavenly Reward in your new Home on High with me. Mama, you raised us up by your gracious living. We will always be grateful to you and keep you forever cherished in our heart-of-hearts. You gave us the best of yourself so that we could have wholesome lives. We truly do appreciate you and your great sacrifice for us your living heritage. We will greatly miss you. We know that you deserve the rest God has planned for you and also you have earned the peace from all your earthly trials. Rest in peace, Mary Frances Moore as we promise to live in bonded unity and peace to honor your life and assure our restored time in your presence on some glad day... In loving sorrow letting you go, until we meet again, Your Family
