Obituary for Mary L. Handsford
Sister Mary Louise Clark Handsford, was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 31, 1947 to the late John Clark and late Alma Smith Clark who preceded her in death. She confessed to Christ at an early age. She joined the Galilee M.B church in Donalsonville GA. Later she joined the First Baptist M.B. Church in West Bainbridge GA under the leadership of the late Reverend J.C. Jackson. She later joined the Greater Macedonia M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Henry L. Flower Jr. She remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. She received her education at the Seminole County Training School in Donalsonville GA and graduated with the class of 1966. She was employed at Amoco Corporation from 1974 to 1993 when the plant closed. She enjoyed taking care of elder people. She enjoyed baking cakes and cooking for everyone she could and loved flowers. One son preceded her in death Eddie Handsford. She leaves to cherish her memories: Two sons: Willie C. Handsford of Bainbridge, GA; John A. Handsford of Tallahassee FL; Two Daughters: Bernice Mims of Bainbridge, GA; Tasha Robinson of Grand Blanc MI; Three Sisters: Betty Weston and Verdell Nelson of Bainbridge, GA; and Eva Green of Elizabeth NJ; A God Sister: Irene Lively of Bainbridge, GA; A brother: Ezell (Arline) Clark of Detroit, MI; Three Sister-in- Laws: Gwendolyn Clark of Bainbridge, GA; Veriona Clark of Atlanta, GA; Stella Clark of Albany, GA; Seventeen Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren; A special friend John Neal Sr.; Extended Sisters: Barbara Smart, Vivian Adkins, Marilyn Melton and Arleata Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing friends and family.
