Obituary for Mary L. Johnson
Deaconess Mary Louise Johnson was born February 12, 1948 in Bainbridge, GA to the late Julian King and the late Ruby Lee Howard She was the eldest of four children.
She began her Christian journey at a young age by joining Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. She served as President of the choir for many years and also served as a Deaconess of the church and President of the mission board.
She received her education in Decatur County School System. She was also a dedicated mill worker for many years.
Deaconess Mary was married to Clifford Johnson Jr in 1967 and to this union they had six (6) beautiful children: Five (5) sons and a daughter.
On April 24, 2017 the Lord called Deaconess Mary Louise Johnson from Labor to Reward. She departed from this lengthy life at home with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Julian King, her mother: Ruby Lee Howard and her brother: Leroy Stradley.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories of love, kindness and helpfulness to all especially her husband: Clifford Johnson Jr.; Daughter: Brady Renee Neal (Pete); Sons: Melize E. Johnson (Janie), Deron D. Johnson (Mary), Ricky Gibson (Rhonda); Clifford Johnson III (Stephanie), Eric R. Johnson (Latoya); Two Sisters: Linda Carter (John) of Texas; Sister: Willie Helen Howard of Ludouici, GA; Devoted God Sister: Lizzie Davis; 18 grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren; a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, family and friends.
