Obituary for Mary Queen Williams
MARY QUEENIE WILLIAMS born January 14, 1935 in Abbeville, AL to the late Nathaniel "Bill" and the late Jeffie McCants. She was the oldest out of two children. She began her Christian Journey at a young age by joining Ford Chapel AME Church and eventually moved her membership to Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church where she served faithfully during her Christian Journey. She served as President of the Jubilee Choir, served on the Usher Board and song with many other choirs and quartets. She received her education in the Decatur County School System. She was a dedicated worker at Elberta Create and Box Co. for many years. MARY QUEENIE was married to the late Jimmy Lee Williams Sr., between them they had eight beautiful children; five (5) boys and three (3) girls. On March 19, 2015, the LORD called MARY QUEENIE WILLIAMS from Labor to Reward. She departed from this earthly life at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital She was preceded in death by her brother Quincy L. McCants, her daughter, Lucindy D. Williams and her loving daughter-in-law, Sang-yo (Annie) McCants. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories of her love, kindness and helpfulness to all especially her children: Ronald McCants, James Williams (Shirley), Lawrence Williams, Margaret Thompson., Jimmy L. Williams Jr., Maurice Williams (Donna), and Debra Williams, adopted sister, Sharon R. McCants; 23 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephews, other relatives and friends.
