Obituary
Mattie Fagg Guy “Ma Mat” as she was affectionately called by some family and friends, was born on November 8, 1938 in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Sylvester and Maude Fagg.
Mattie attended Hutto High School in Bainbridge, Georgia.
On January 17, 1959 she married the love of her life Charles Allen Guy Sr. To this union ten children were born.
She was a head cook at Bram’s Restaurant for many years, until it closed. She was also employed by Elberta Crate and Box for 13 years.
On January 8,2021, she quietly fell asleep in death, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Allen Guy Sr., a beautiful daughter Alice Guy, her parents, three brothers, Sylvester Fagg, Charles Fagg, and Marvin Fagg.
Mattie leaves behind to cherish her memories nine devoted children, six sons and three daughters. Charles Allen Guy Jr. (Leah), of Bremerton, Washington. Gregory Guy Sr. (Kathalean) of Baker County GA; Diana Guy Scott (Alfred) of Attapulgus GA; Edward Guy Sr. (Dorothy) of Baker County GA; Andrew Guy Sr. (Jennifer) of Bainbridge, GA; Dwayne Guy of Bremerton, WA; Jennifer Guy Footman (Jerry) of Bainbridge, GA; Larry Guy (LeShonda) of Bainbridge, GA; Danielle Guy Scott (Vincent) of Bainbridge, GA; Four Sisters: Elois Russell (Theridore), Bobbie Screen Jeanette Jones and Margarette Fagg all of Bainbridge, GA; One brother- in- law: Andrew Guy (Betty) of South Bay FL; Sister- in- law: Benetta Fagg. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
