Obituary for Mildred S. Rollins
A time to be born: Mrs. Mildred Screen-Rollins was born to Roosevelt Sr. and Mary Hinson-Screen, the fifth of ten children, on March 3, 1946 in Decatur County, Georgia. A time to die: She departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Phoebe Putney-North Hospital. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. Roosevelt Screen, Mrs. Mary Hinson Screen; One Sister Rhunette S. Edwards,; Three brothers-Roosevelt Screen Jr., John Screen and Ricky Screen. A time to build: Mildred grew up in Mt. Hosea Missionary Baptist Church, Quincy, Florida. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age under the spiritual leadership of Rev. George Fleming and for many years continued her spiritual journey under the leadership of Rev. William Maxwell. Later she connected with Second Mount Olive in Albany, GA. A time to plant: Her educational experiences began in the Decatur County, Georgia public schools. She would later attend Florida A&M University and Albany State University earning a B.S., M.S. and NPR in Nursing. A time to embrace and remember: She leaves to treasure and preserve her most precious memory; her devoted and steadfast husband of forty-six years, Richard A. Rollins Sr.; five children: Christopher Michael Screen of Savannah, GA; Reginald Shawn (LaShunda) Screen of Lawrenceville, GA; Gregory (Gale) Rollins of El Paso, TX; Richard A. (Martina) Rollins Jr. of Albany, GA and Cora (Charles) Felder of Montgomery, AL.; Brothers Levon (Rosemary) Screen, Tallahassee, FL; CSM-Retired -Celson (Dorothy) Screen, Warner Robins, GA; Curtis D. Screen, Dallas, TX; Elder Randy L. Screen, Petersburg, VA; Sister Joyce S. Hodges, Macon GA; Twelve grandchildren; one Aunt Anna Lee Hinson, Tallahassee, one sister in law, Sandra Rollins: three brother in laws; John Rollins, Winston (Calvine) Rollins, Ronald (Candy) Rollins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
