Mother Carol “Reo” Sapp Andrews
Carol Virginia Sapp Andrews was born June 21, 1928 to David and Mary Frances Sapp in Decatur County, GA. She was affectionately known as Reo and lived her entire life in Attapulgus, GA, until her departure on September 8, 2018.
Carol attended school in Decatur County, GA. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church where she served faithfully as chairman of the mother board until her health failed.
She was united in holy matrimony to Samuel Andrews, Sr. in
1948. They remained married for 59 years until his death in
2007. This union was blessed with 10 children. Daughter Carol Arvana and grandson Dominic “Rod” Andrews preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories: seven sons: Winford Andrews (Nettye), Forkland, AL; Samuel Andrews, Jr. (Celestine), Fowlstown, GA; Randolph Andrews (Cassandra) and George Andrews, Sr. (MaryAnn), Bainbridge, GA; John Andrews (Melbah) and Willard Andrews, Attapulgus, GA and Carl Andrews (Thelma), Augusta, GA; two daughters: Sarah Scales (Clifford) of Oviedo, FL; Mary Josephs (Errol) of Lawrenceville, GA; one brother: Odist Sapp (Bernice), Okeechobee, FL; sister-in-law: Rosetta Andrews of Quincy, FL; 15 grandchildren:16 great-grandchildren; 3 special
nieces: Katie Grant, Sarah Sapp and Linda Clemons; a special nephew: John Strong and dedicated cousin: Inez Sapp Carter
as well as a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
