Obituary for Paul Rogers
Brother Paul Rogers was born in Decatur County to the late Edward Boston and the Late Rosa Bell Rogers on May 1, 1953. On August 3, 2016 at Capital Region Medical Center the Lord needed another soldier for his army.
Brother Paul was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church where he served on the usher board and sung in the choir.
He attended Bainbridge High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves where he served his country for 20 plus years.
Brother Paul loved spending time with family and serving the Lord. He sing with the Spiritual Wonders of Bainbridge Ga for 30 plus years.
On December 11, 1990 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Shirley Ann Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and one brother.
Brother Paul leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife: Shirley Ann Rogers; Five daughters: Paulette Gude (Oscar) of Tallahassee, FL; Chot’Shani Rogers of Quincy, FL; Valarie Gaymon (Sharif), Sherlain Brown and Paula Tucker all of Bainbridge, GA; Two sons: Franco Rogers of Bainbridge GA and Delanise Rogers (Shakelia) of Tallahassee, FL; Sixteen grandchildren; Two Godsons” Danny Thomas and Jeremy Harper; Four brothers: E.B. Boston (Virginia) of Vidalia, GA; Rev. Peter Rogers(Patricia) and William Miller of Bainbridge, GA; George Rogers (Myama) of Inverness, FL; Six sisters: Louise Ware, Gracie King(Jessie) Mary Hampton (Joseph) all of Albany GA; Clifford Arnette of Camilla, GA; Dora Lee Rogers and Cindy Miller both of Mariama FL; Four brother-in-laws: Elroy Thomas of Orlando, FL; Terry Thomas (Gloria) and Tillman Mango (Shelia) all of Bainbridge, GA; Tommie Thomas of Attapulgus, GA; Rose Rogers, Inverness, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
