Obituary for Pearline Borders
Sister Pearlene A Borders was born July 14, 1959 to the late Cassie J. Leverson (Henry Leverson Sr.) Rufus Borders Sr. She grew up in Bainbridge, GA with her step father Henry Leverson Sr. and Cassie J. Leverson.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Cyrene GA) under the late Rev. H.B. Jeffery. She later became a member of Union M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. David Johnson. Where she served faithfully until her passing.
She attended Decatur Co. School with the graduated class of ‘78. She furthered her
education by attending Bainbridge College where she received an Associate Degree in
Medical Assistant.
She was employed at Amoco Fabrics Bainbridge, GA where she met Thomas
Jefferson. From that relationship she had her only child Shemetrice Johnson.
She valiantly battled health issues with a smile, without complaint, working
diligently at the Florida State Hospital until the Lord called her home on
June 23, 2017.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter: Shemetrice Johnson (Stephon),
Brothers: Leonard Borders (Marie), Henry Leverson Jr. (Teresa), Rufus Borders Jr.
(Sabrina), Derrick Borders (Felicia) Tallahassee, FL; Sisters: Sandra Tooks
and Willene Sanders of Bainbridge, GA; Three grandchildren: Jayla Jefferson,
Ciara English, Landen Johnson of Bainbridge,GA; Two God children:
Seaster Thompson, O’Neal Davis Cyrene, GA (Angie); Five God Grandchildren,
Special Friends: Maxine Wolf, Diane Noel; Host of nieces and nephews and
other family members.
