Obituary for Ranzy "Buddy" Jenkins
The Obituary
Deacon Ranzy James Jenkins was born in Baker County Georgia to the late Fenison Oliver and the Late Pearl Gadson Jenkins on April 5, 1954.
He attended elementary school in Newton Georgia and was a 1972 Graduate of Bainbridge High School. At an early age he joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in later years he joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he served until his health failed. He was reared by his grandfather the late Doc Gadson. In his high school years he was raised by his aunt and uncle the late Rev. U.H. and Demeritt Dunehue.
He served in the United States Army and the Georgia National Guard Reserve for 20 Years. He was Ordained as a deacon on January 25, 2009, serving many capacities in the church. He was a Truck Driver for 16 years.
"Buddy" a loving husband, father, grandfather brother and great friend heard the master's call relinquishing his earthly duties upon the change of command on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Capital Regional Medical Center.
"Buddy "will be missed by all who knew and loved him. “Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal." He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt and uncle and a sister Beatrice Greer.
He leaves loving memories with his wife Delanda Jenkins; Three daughters: Shekeria Duncan, Andrea Jenkins, and Angelica (Gregory) Breedlove, all of Bainbridge, GA; One son: Phillip (Tina) Ellis, Pontiac Michigan; Eight grandchildren: Devontae, Antione, Nicquell, De' Asia, Destiny, Mesiyah, Kadyn and Grayson; Three great grandchildren; God brother: Charles Miller of Orlando FL; Four God Children: Lisa, Michael, Lewis and Tamya; Six sisters: Christean Williams, Anna Daverman both of Orlando, FL; Cynthia (James), Fayetteville, GA; Fayetta (David) Thomas Bainbridge, GA; Eva (Mark) Johnson, Portsmouth, VA and Margaret Turney, Albany GA; Four brothers: Jimmy (Gwen) Johnson, West Palm Beach, FL; Booker Jenkins, Orlando, FL; Sammy Johnson and Daniel Johnson both of Colquitt GA; Uncle: Elvis Moore Albany, GA; Seven sister- in-laws : Linda Frazier, Viola (Ervin) Flanders, Sharon Wimberly, Dorothy (Fredrick) Moten, Deborah Jones, Dorothy Cheatem and Tammy Smart all of Bainbridge, GA; Four brother in-laws William Fountain, Larry Fountain of Bainbridge, GA; Leon (Maria) Fountain, El Paso TX ; Erin Fudge, Utica, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends
