Obituary for Rosa B. Robinson
Mother Rosa B. Robinson was born on December 29, 1918 in Wewahitchka, FL to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Cassie Williams.
Mother Rosa B. was united in holy matrimony with the late Elijah “Buddy” Robinson, and their union was blessed by the birth of four children. In 1945, they made their home in the Pear Orchard also known as Eureka Heights.
She used her culinary skills in food service at Bainbridge State Hospital until she retired. She spent her days conversing with family and friends on the phone and enjoying their company in person. Her mornings began with reading the Word and prayer. Even when her eyesight began to wane, she would get up before sunrise with a flashlight to read her Bible.
She was a faithful member of the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years. For several years, she was a proud recipient of the award for the oldest female member of the congregation. She was passionate about “reading her lesson” at Sunday school and hearing the Word of God at church.
She was preceded in death by her four siblings and her two eldest children, Earlyne “Pugh” Robinson and Theodore “Man” Robinson.
She was survived by her children: Berthine (Richard) Calhoun of Chicago, IL; Jacquelyn Deloris Robinson of Bainbridge, GA; and Sandra Denise Green of Thomasville, GA and dear friends that she loved like daughters Emma Green, Bainbridge, GA and Helen Jackson, Bainbridge, GA; her grandchildren: Theodore Jr. Robinson, Derrick Robinson, Christal Robison, Alaina Calhoun, Andrea Calhoun, Allison Calhoun, Angela Robinson, Adrienne Green, Justine Green, Alyssa Green, and Jermaine “Nap” Jackson, who she considered as a grandchild; as well as a host of great- and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
