Sister Rosie Fountain, age 75, of Bainbridge, Georgia left her beloved family to be with our Lord on December 7, 2017.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of Morris Temple First Born Church of the Living God, where she was the head usher for over 40 years. She was a woman of great faith who filled the lives of her family and many friends with love and joy. She will live in our hearts forever.
Sister Fountain was born June 16, 1942, in Eldorado, Georgia, to Felix and Ruth (Heard) Peterson. At the age of 19, Rosie met and fell in love with Willie J. Fountain. Rosie and Willie were married May of 1965 and lived in Bainbridge, Georgia. They were married for 52 years and through their union they had 5 children, Willie, Jr., Koufax, Sr., Aretha, Linda and Perez. Rosie enjoyed fishing, cooking and working in the church. She loved spending time with family and friends and she was always willing to help those in need. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all those who knew her.
Rosie was preceded in death by her loving husband Willie, parents Felix and Ruth, her three sisters Bytha Mae, Lillie and Sarah and brother Nathan.
She is survived by her daughters: Aretha Fountain,
Linda Williams (Reginald), and sons :Willie Fountain (Cosie), Koufax Fountain (Cleotha), and Perez Fountain, two brothers: Airfonzie (Geraldine) and James (Ruby), 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other sorrowing family and friends
