Rosie Mae Smith

Rosie Mae Smith was born February 4, 1936, in Americus GA two Mr. and Mrs. Buddie Barnes.
She received her education from Sumter County School System then furthering her education through the Decatur County adult education program.
Rosie Mae married the love of her life Horace Smith. They were married for 66 years.
Rosie Mae and Horace raised three wonderful children Hattie, Calvin, and Melvin.
Upon moving to Bainbridge Rosa may join Jordan Grove M. B. Church where she served faithfully until her health failed.
Rosie Mae retired from Georgia Factory for the Blind. After retirement, she spent her time serving God, her family, her friends, and her community.
Rosie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her son Calvin, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband: Horace Smith; daughter: Hattie Watts (Ronnie); son: Melvin Bowens and a grandson that she raised Calvin Bowens Jr., six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren; two sisters: Annie Kate and Daisy; brother: Henry Christmas; a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing family and friends.
