Mother Ruby Parris was born on March 22, 1921 to the late Hosie Harrell and Rosie Glover.
She was baptized at an early age and attended Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
Mother Ruby worked as a housewife most of her years. She loved to cook and sit around with family and friends, but most of all she loved going fishing.
She fell in love and married R.C Parris. To this union thirteen children were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband R.C. Parris, four sons: Joe Parris, Nelson Parris, William Parris and Robert Parris.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Four daughters: Sharon Parris, Acenith Parris (Jerome) Lillie Parris and Julia Parris all of Bainbridge, GA; Five sons: Umar Muhammad (Connie) of Indianapolis IN; Bobbie Parris of Des Moines, IA; Willie C. Parris of Valdosta, GA; Rasberry Parris and Arthur L. Parris of Bainbridge, GA; Thirty eight grandchildren; a host great grandchildren; very special great grandson: Tadarius Knight; sister: Louis Jackson; very special friend: Allie Mae Jenkins; and host of family and friends.
