Obituary for Rudolph Gordon
Reflection of Life
Mr. Rudolph Gordon was born on October 14, 1946 in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Malachi and Estelle Gordon.
He was called to rest in paradise with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Rudolph accepted Christ at an early age and joined Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the Decatur County Public School system . Shortly after, he began working at Southeastern Minerals where he successfully retired after 39 years of service. Those who knew Rudolph knew that he loved his family dearly and always placed them first. He was an avid fisherman and a huge Florida State Seminole fan.
In 1967, Rudolph married the love of his life, Mary Ferguson. They were married for 54 years. He touched many lives with his kindness, caring spirit and heart of gold.
Rudolph leaves loving memories with those who loved him including a devoted wife : Mary; one son: Adrian (Shaunda) Gordon of Enterprise, Alabama; three daughters: Pamela (Willie) McCray of Quincy, Florida; Michelle (Arcoliua) Madison of Bainbridge; Lashanda (Orienthial) Williford of Albany, Georgia; Adopted Daughter: Shawana Washington of Bainbridge, Georgia; One sister: Carolyn (Darryl) Lightfoot of Quincy, Florida; four brothers: Rubin Gordon, Malachi (Jennifer) Gordon Jr. both of Attapulgus, Georgia; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and great -nieces, nephews and great -nephews, cousins, including honorary cousin/sister: Johnnie Mae Candidate, and other relatives and caring friends.
