Mr. Saint T. Dowdell, Jr. was born in Americus, Georgia on August 13, 1933 to the late Saint Elmore Dowdell and Geneva Dowdell.
His life was rooted in Americus, Georgia where he had a fulfilling journey of excitement with challenging obstacles. Through his journey, he learned that nothing in life can be accomplished without love, prayer, hard work, great sacrifices, concern for others, and faith in God.
Later, the family moved to Amsterdam, Georgia and joined Smith Grove M.B. Church. He attended this church for many years and served faithfully.

Saint T. Dowdell was affectionately known as “Deer” by his family and many of his friends. He completed his education from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida.
He was employed with Engelhard for 20 years. He was privileged to attend Bainbridge College Continuing Education to enhance his knowledge and skills. He was always pondering on how to improve his life and how to provide more for his family. He had a vision to venture out on his own and start his business. He left Engelhard in 1981. He was self-employed for over 40 years.
