Obituary for Sallie Moore
My earthly journey is now complete, filled with memories present, past and joy. Pain lined life's streets and here I am, home at last. Shed no lingering tears over me, I am in pain no more; my soul has been set free. Never have I known joy like this before. It's traditional to say I am late, that can be misleading, I arrived on time at Heaven's gate, so please don't prolong the grieving. Reunited with loved ones that went before me. My earthly journey is now complete. Completed when I took my final earthly sleep. Now over joyed with Heavenly glee. Sister Sallie Moore, was foremost a woman of God who love Jesus. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all. She was a dedicate member and loved working in the church. Sallie was born on September 23, 1953 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Coy and Goldie Moore. She confessed Christ at an early age and attended Grant Chapel AME Church with her parents, later moving her membership to New Messiah where she served as a faithful servant of God. She attended the public school system of Decatur County and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973. Sallie was attending Bainbridge College when her health began to fail. She continued as long as she could study hard where she was listed on the Dean's list. During her battle with her illness she stayed steadfast, strong, humble and very courageous. She continued to keep the faith and would always encourage the family to love one another and stay together. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving devoted caregiving daughter: Kimberly Moore of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters, Gussie Breedlove of Atlanta, GA; Ella Williams of Bainbridge, GA; two brother: Mack Moore and Reverend John Thomas Sr. (Willa) of Bainbridge, GA; three grandchildren: Marchell, Aaron and Chasity; one great grandson: Michael Torres Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
