Shareka Shuntea Miller affectionately known as "Reka" was born August 27, 1984 in Colquitt, GA to the late Ada Crankfield and James E. Miller, Jr. She transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday March 23, 2025 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA. She will be leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and determination that will forever be remembered.
Shareka grew up in Colquitt, Georgia where she was educated in the Miller County School System graduating with the class of 2003.
Although Sharek as life took a certain turn early. She never lost her hope nor her faith. Being diagnosed with an illness that was expected to shorten her life. God granted her what doctors doubled she would obtain. Shareka was by far not a follower. But a leader in deed.
When asked by an interviewer during her reign as Miller Nursing Home (A Queen position she earned respectfully) she was asked if she had a choice to be any celebrity who would she be? She said neither I want to be ME!
In addition to her parents Shareka was preceded in death by her grandparents: Mrs. Annie Lee Crankfield and Mr. E. C. Crankfield. A great grandmother Texas Brown. Though they are longer with us we find comfort in knowing that Shareka has united with them once again.
She leaves behind a family that will forever miss her presence, but will cherish the beautiful memories they shared with her.
Her siblings: sister: Shatoya Crankfield and brother Jaimyen Miller; Three nephews whom she absolutely adored: Keondre Benton, Braylen Peterson and Montrez Jr., Two special cousins that she considered that as her sister and brother; Trivia McClendon Burns and Brandon Miller, two special aunts Linda Crankfield and Merle Miller. Three remarkable friends: Jalesa Allen Sims, Jarita Lofton, and Latoya Copeland. She leaves a host of aunts, uncles, a grandfather James E. Miller Sr., a nephew, cousins and sorrowing friends. Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find reassurance in knowing that Shareka is free and her soul is now resting. Shareka's spirit will live on through the hearts of those she touched and her memory will forever be cherished.
As we say "See you later" to our precious Shareka we celebrate the life she lived. She may be gone, but never will she be forgotten. You're FREE Shareka you've earned your wings.
