Obituary
Sherma Tynese Cooper was born to James Edward Cooper, Sr. and the late Brenda Louise Cooper on April 27, 1980. Sherma peacefully transitioned surrounded by family on June 07, 2025.
Sherma was educated in the Decatur County School District. She graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended Bainbridge College and Albany State University.
Sherma gave her life to Christ at an early age and began attending and serving at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. John Wooden. More recently, Sherma attended Restoration Plate Tallahassee under the leadership of Dr. Richard Ledford
Sherma had several interests during her working years. She achieved an AA in secretarial science and office management and landed a job with The Money Tree, a local investment company. She worked for many years until she found her true calling to culinary and food services. Sherma worked with Simply Southern Restaurant and Catering and later worked for Brentwood Plantation.
Sherma is preceded in death by her mother: Brenda Louise Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories Father: James Cooper, Sr. (Dr. Brenda G), Son: Brayden Cooper, Daughter: Arianna Cooper, Two sisters: Talya Lewis (Johnnie), and Danielle Whittenberg Four Brothers: Nathaniel Butler (Brittany), Dr. James Cooper, Jr., Adrian Cooper and E. Warren Whittenberg. Two Aunts, Gwendolyn Washington and Geneva Bryant (JaMichael), one Uncle David Cooper, Sr. (Cherry) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will also cherish her memory.
