Obituary for Stella Mae Jackson
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 Sister Stella Mae Jackson was born on May 14, 1919 to the late Earnest and Addie Dawkins. She was the oldest of seven children. Early in life she became a member of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she met and married Albert Bernard Jackson. From this union seven children were born. Early Monday morning Jesus dispatches his beloved angel to Memorial Hospital room 237. Her demise has saddened the hearts of her children, relatives and friends. The wonderful memories of her shall always be cherished by the love one that she left behind. She is preceded in death by her husband: Albert Bernard Jackson and three sons: Albert Jackson Jr., Richard and Otis Richardson. Survivors include One sister: Lillian Jackson of Miami FL; Two very dear first cousins: Mrs. Eddie Lee Redding of Miami, FL; and Mrs. Cora Dawkins of Chattahoochee, FL; She also leaves behind four devoted daughters and Son-in-laws two deceased. Shirley Perry deceased(Loron), Betty Knight (James) both of Miami, FL; Marvel Close (Randolph)deceased of Bainbridge, GA; Sanitone Thornton (Dennis) of Columbus GA; A devoted God Son: Chester Holley Jr. (Saundra) of Tallahassee, FL; Two God daughters: Deloris Levens of Bainbridge, GA; and Barbara Bailey of Chicago, IL; Fifteen grandchildren: Sharlene Richardson of Miami, FL; Antonio Richardson of Tallahassee, FL; Dewayne Brown of Detroit, MI; Reginald Adams of Americus, GA; Tiffany Davis Miami, FL, Loron Perry, James Knight Jr. and Leslie Knight all of Miami, FL; Rodney Close of Copra, TX; Randall Close of Bainbridge GA, Ella Dawkins of Bainbridge, GA, Natevia Thornton Synder of Slidell, LA; Delanna Thornton of Atlanta, GA, Jacqua Thornton of Columbus, GA; Eighteen great grandchildren; Two very special friends helped to brighten our darkest days: David and Christine Robinson of Bainbridge, GA and a host of friends and neighbors.
