Tonya Hughes
Tonya Hughes was born on August 12, 1975 on Eglin Air Force Base located on Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Kennedy Eugene Hughes, Jr. and Margaret Hughes. She was the second oldest of four and is survived by her three siblings: Kimberly, Kennedy Jr., and Marquise Hughes.
Tonya attended Robinson High School where she graduated in 1993. She later found herself attending college in anticipation of obtaining her BSN, but quickly found her passion and talents were needed elsewhere. Before transitioning, she worked as an USPS mail carrier for the past five years.
Tonya and James Sr.’s love story began in 2001, and were later joined in holy matrimony in 2018.
She is survived by: her husband James Parks, Sr.; her parents: Kennedy Eugene Hughes, Jr. and Margaret Hughes; six children: De’Andre, Deion, Tyree Flagler, Kidada, James Jr., and Kylee Parks; Six grandchildren: De’Andre Jr., Saniyah, Pia, Kaius, Tyler, and Alayah; Tonya is also survived by myriad of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and very close friends.
