A Time To Be Born: Versie Lee Davis was born on November 5, 1931 to the Late Ida Mae Robinson Sheffield. Versie Lee departed life on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at South East Medical Center, Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
A Time To Cherish: She was married to the late Frank Davis Jr. for 65 years. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1989.
A Time To Serve: She worked with W.C and Gloria Deloach for 49 plus years. She served with the Rosinvick Senior Choir, and played a major role at Friendship M.B. Church for several years, she also served as an active member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E.
Versie Lee lived a fulfilling life as a loving mother to 10 children. She was a dedicated and hardworking mother. She treasured family and friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grands. She enjoyed listening to and singing gospel songs and sermons. She spent time expressing her belief that this life is a precious fit given to each of us by God. She had unwavering trust and faith in God. Also spent time being mother to whomever she meet.
A Time To Mourn: She is the loving and devoted mother of Emma Lee Hicks (Harry) of Tallahassee, Florida, Ulysses Davis, Mary Foster (Louis Foster) of Blakely, Georgia, Priscilla Richardson, Margaret Reaves (Olen Reaves) of Dothan, Alabama, Linda Smith of Dothan, Alabama, Milton Davis (Deborah) of Blakely, Georgia, and Craig Davis (Terra Davis) of Dothan, Alabama; Grandchildren 29 Grandchildren 53, and Great great grandchildren 5; Sisters and Brothers: Carolyn Boozer, Corene Wright, Oida Boozer, Willie Ryles, Lorraine Ryles and Mary Ryles; Special Cousin: Ouida Salter
Preceding her in death: Ida Mae Robinson Sheffield (mother), Frank Davis (husband), Billy Carroll and Charles Hicks (son), Beatrice Hall, Ida Mae Ransom, Lurlene Robinson, Perlene Robinson, Cynthia and Alma Ryles and Ellise Eloise Boozie, (sister's), Murray Robinson, Ed Ryles and Eddie Walter and George W.
