Obituary
Willie James Crump Sr., affectionately known as "Lamar," was born on August 27, 1943, in Camilla, Georgia, to the late Eugene Crump and Versie Lee Moore Crump.
Lamar embraced his faith early in life, joining Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
He first married Vera Mae Crump, who preceded him in death. They were blessed with five children, with one, Johnny Lamar Crump, preceding him in death. He later married Eula Mae Hammond Crump, and they had six children together, one of whom, Derrick Crump, also preceded him in death. Lamar's third marriage was to Ruby Lee Moore Crump, who preceded him in death, and they had one child.
Lamar leaves behind to cherish his memories ten children: Gracie Florence, Rossie Crump, Emma Porter, Ernestine Kendrick (Willie) of Bainbridge, GA; Johnny Lee Crump (Shametrice) of Camilla, GA; Eugene Crump of Tampa, FL; Willie James Crump Jr. (Amy), Carlton Crump of Camilla, GA; Charles O. Crump of Bainbridge, GA; and Versie Wimberly (Kelly) of Hinesville, GA; four stepsons: Willie Moore, Terry Moore, Stacey Moore, and Timmy Moore, and his oldest grandchild, Latoya Lane (Michael) of Albany, GA; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Two sisters: Gwendolyn Wimberly (Tommy) of Camilla, GA, and Patricia Cooper (James) of Tallahassee, FL; A host of nieces, nephews, sorrowing family members, and friends also mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers: Mary Earnestine Cummings (Lawrence), Henry Crump (Pearl), Doris Emanuel (Willie), C.J. Crump (Jannie), Elise Whitfield (Ezekeil), Johnny Crump, and Eugene Crump Jr.
