Brother Willie James Fountain, Sr., passed away on July 25, 2017, in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was born on February 13, 1939 in Miller County, Georgia to the late Lonnie and Susie Fountain. He was the oldest of 15 children.
Willie grew up in Miller County, Georgia, then moved to Bainbridge. He worked for Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals as a welder where he worked for 35 years.
Willie married Rose Lee Peterson in 1965 in Bainbridge, Georgia. They were happily married for 52 years. Willie was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Atlanta
Braves and spending time with his family.
Willie is survived by his sons: Willie Jr and Koufax (Cleotha) both of Bainbridge, Georgia; Perez of Dallas, Texas; daughters: Aretha and Linda (Reginald) of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren: Nigel Jeffery, Dennis Münch, Cantè Fountain, Koufax Fountain Jr., Cameron Fountain, Camille Fountain, Michael Fountain, Marissa Williams and Jahari Williams and other sorrowing friends and family.
