Obituary for Yvonne Snell
A Time For All Things. . . . .
A Time To Be Born:
Sister Yvonne Snell was born in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Willie Arthur Snell and Eva Mae Gordon. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Kimberly Snell and her father Willie Arthur Snell.
A Time To Serve:
Sister Yvonne Snell gave her life to Christ. She was a member of Mt Nebo Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Maurice McDaniels.
A Time To Learn:
Yvonne Snell received her education from the public schools of Decatur County, Georgia. She spent numerous years of her adult life providing affectionate care as a caregiver.
A Time To Embrace:
Yvonne loved her family dearly, and cherished time spent with family both near and far. She possessed an abundance of love and compassion that she showed towards her loving mother, three loving children, five wonderful grandchildren, siblings, and nieces and nephews as well as host friends and cousins. In her eyes, her family was her most prized possession. Our greatest moments with Yvonne, will be all of the cherished times and moments that she made us laugh. She was affectionately known to many as “Mema” and “Aunt Nanny”. She loved and looked forward to getting her grandchildren ready each year for school and spent many hours heavy starching and creasing their school clothes.
A Time To Die:
On July 24, 2018, Yvonne made her grand departure only after fully affecting those around her. From our hearts to yours, you will greatly be missed by your mom, your siblings, your wonderful children, and your precious grandchildren. In these last moments, Yvonne we want you to know that through a lifetime of loving deeds, you will forever be missed. Today and tomorrow, our whole life through, we will always love and cherish you. So “Mema”, we encourage you to go on ahead and spread your wings
A Time To Mourn:
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted mother: Eva Mae Gordon; Three children: two daughters: Shalonda (Jimmy) Sanders and Yolanda Snell; one son: Myreon “Sam” (Quinta) Snell all of Bainbridge, GA; Yvonne was the proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren: Jamal Jevon Wallace Sanders, Jada Serena Sanders, Daisy Serena Sanders, Journee Sheunta Snell, and Ja’heem Ahmond Snell.
