Obituary for Charlie David Childs
Deacon Charlie David Childs was born on November 14, 1950 to the late Mr. Charlie Childs and Ruth Mae Childs of Miller County. Later in years he moved to Decatur County Georgia.
He attended school in Miller County and later attended Hutto High School and graduated in 1970. He entered in the United States Army in 1977, where he served 5 years. He later joined the National Guard and retired after serving 20 years.
He was employed and later retired form Bainbridge State Hospital and also worked for Mr. and Mrs. Rubbin Reynolds for 33 years.
Deacon Charlie was a faithful member oat Pleasant Hill Church and became a Deacon in 2013.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife: Cynthia Childs; Five step children; Four sisters: Wilma Fountain and Glenda Bruton of Bainbridge, GA; Mavelie Lee Hall and Margie Duckworth of Miami, FL; One Uncle: Reverend Luke Childs, Daytona Beach, FL; One Aunt: Texas Bell Brown, Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces , nephews and very close friends. He will truly be missed.
