Brother Samuel Alden “Mickey” Ross was born on April 23 1957 to the late Mr. Samuel Ross and Mrs. Ruenell Cook-Ross in Cusetto, GA (Fort Benning Army Base).
Brother Samuel was an active member of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He faithfully served as a Choir member and Sunday School Secretary.
Brother Sam graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1975. He enjoyed all sports. His love of course was baseball.
Post-graduation, Sam entered into the United States Navy where he served for 15 years. He received an Honorable Discharge on May 28, 1993.
Brother Samuel was married to Rosalyn Lynette Ford in 1983. From this union, their beautiful daughter Shana was born.
Brother Samuel was a fun loving individual. He was a bright light to all who knew him and had the
opportunity to cross paths with him. Brother Samuel was welcoming to all and did not have a problem making friends and bringing laughter to whatever
the situation, circumstance, event, or celebration to be had. Samuel was literally the life of any party!
On Monday June 29, 2020, Brother Samuel transitioned into eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish is life, Mother: Ruenell Florence; daughter: Shana (Janon) Busby; grandchildren: Janon and Jordyn; special love: Miss Annie Mae Smart; two uncles: Mr. Leroy Ross and Mr. Jesse Thomas; Right hand man: Deacon Ernest Martin; and a host of relatives and friends.
