Brother Robert E. Harris was born November 22, 1949 to Mr. Clarence and the late Mrs. Earlene DuPont Harris. He passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.
He was educated in Havana, FL at Northside High School where he played basketball and graduated. He served in the U.S. Army for many years. He was released as a disabled veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Earlene DuPont Harris; sister Margie Harris, two brothers Rudolph Wilson and Bobby Harris, his son Duriel (Black) Harris Sr., and his daughter Tyronica E. (Hope) Hill.
He leaves to cherish his most precious memories: his father: Clarence Harris of Attapulgus, GA; One grand-daughter: Lataya Hill of Miami, FL; Three grandsons: Brandon Hill and Marcus Vassel of Visalia, CA; and Duriel (Pooh) Harris Jr. of Miramar, FL; Four great grandchildren: Darius (D.J.) Miller Jr., Ziyahna Miller, Jeila-Kaye Wright, and Amiya Wright; Two sisters: Sarah Riles, and Cathy Thomas both of Attapulgus, GA; One sister in law: Annie Ruth Wilson of Attapulgus, GA; One aunt; Anna Akins of Tallahassee, FL; One uncle: Ralph DuPont of Havana, FL; A special nephew: Antonio J. (Tony) Riles Sr. of Dubai; a special fried Barbara Harris of Miami, FL; a host of other sorrowing family and friends.
