Obituary
Brother Horace Floyd was born March 2, 1949 to the late James Floyd and Eliza Biggles. He was the second of eleven children. Five brothers preceded him in death: Marvin Floyd, Robert Hayes, Carl Hayes, Vanester Hayes and Chester Floyd.
Horace attended school at Hutto High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was a skilled multi-tasked construction worker, cement finisher, brick laying concrete and pool installation, Employed by Mobley’s Pool until his demise.
Horace accepted Christ and was baptized at New Freedom Christian Ministries where he was a faithful member and server in different capacities of the church. Horace was a cheerful, loving, caring and giving person, full of humor and wisdom. Never a dull moment in his presence.
Horace leaves to cherish his memories three beautiful daughters: Tameka Floyd of Woodridge VA; Tanish Williams-Glover (Antony) of Saint Petersburg, FL; and Shabella Rogers Shiloh of Washington, ST; Five sisters: Mildred Kind (Kelvin) Cairo, GA; Patricia McNair (Alexander) Bainbridge, GA; Elaine Smith (Harold) Bainbridge, GA; Dorothy Floyd of Albany, GA; Kathy Floyd of Bainbridge, GA; Seven brothers: Willie Floyd of Germany; David Floyd of Texas; Pastor Lester Hayes (Sharon)Tallahassee, FL; Charles Hayes of Bainbridge, GA; Herman Peterson of Bainbridge, GA; Curtis Biggles (Bettye) of Bascom FL; Ivan Hayes of Cairo, GA; Aunt: Ruth Johnson of St. Petersburg FL; Nine grandchildren; Two great grandchildren:; a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
