Obituary for Diane Jones Geter
On Saturday, August 9, 2014, God called his servant home to eternal rest. Sister Diane J. Geter was born on December 25, 1958 in Attapulgus, Ga. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; Mable Marshell Jones and James Jones. Also preceded her in death are three brothers and one sister: C. J. Jones, T. J. Jones, Willie Jones, and Annie Carter. Ms. Geter was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church , and was employed at Elberta Crate and Box Company until she was unable to continue. Sis. Diane was loved by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Joseph Geter Jr. (Attapulgus, Ga.), Eric Geter (Kirstie Geter) lives in Valdosta, Ga.; three daughters, JoAnne Geter, Sarmane Geter, and Erica Geter, all of Attapulgus. She also leaves behind four brothers: James Jones Jr. (Geraldine), Rayford Jones (Thelma), Daron Jones (Betina), Steve Jones (Annie) and Greg Jones (Linda); three sisters: Janet Jones, Patricia Jones, and Angela Guyton (James). Sis. Diane has two living aunts: Rosa Mae Lemon and Pearlie Russell, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
