Obituary for Emma L. Reynolds
Sister Emma L. Reynolds "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Revelation 21:4 A Time to Be Born Sister Emma was born on June 23, 1915 in Gordon Alabama to the late Sam and Lena Bowden. A Time for Personal Growth Sister Emma attend public school in Gordon Alabama. She worked for Elberta Crate & Box Company, where she later retired after 40 years of service. A Time for Personal Decision She received Christ at an early age and became a member of Jerusalem AME Church of Gordon Alabama. After moving to Bainbridge, she joined Ford Chapel AME Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. A Time for Happiness Sister Emma was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Reynolds and to this union one child was born. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and eight siblings. A Time to Morn Sister Emma leaves to cherish her memories loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law Winnie &Norma Hampton; Three loving grandchildren Gwendolyn (John) Mitchell, Reginald Hampton Sr., and Norman Hampton Jr. A devoted goddaughter: Brenda Betsey. Eight great grandchildren: Ashley Mitchell, Corey Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Reginald (Angelica) Hampton, Tasheria Hampton, Anthony Hampton, Keavian Hampton, and Ashanti Hampton and seven great-great grandchildren. She also leaves two loving and devoted sisters: Corene Ford of Jenkins Georgia and Bernell Finn of Bainbridge, Georgia, and a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
