Obituary for Cloretta Anderson
Mother Cloretta Anderson was born in Decatur County on June 18, 1926 to Gus and Henrietta Harrell. She met and married Abe Anderson Sr. and was blessed with 8 children of which 2 preceded her in death. Mother Cloretta was a member of the Mt. Moriah No. 2 M.B. Church where she attended until her health decline. She loved family especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At any given time you would always find them gathered around enjoying jokes and laughter; everyone vying for her attention. She was loved and known as "granny" by most everyone who met her. Granny kept an open door and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her husband Abe Anderson Sr., 2 children, 3 brothers: Eugene, Cosmore, and Lloyd. 2 sisters: Mae Etta Johnson and Hazel Scott. She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her children and step-children: Abe Anderson Jr., Eugene and Walter all of Attapulgus, GA; Oliver (Ann) of Cairo, GA; Etta (James) Myrick of St. Pete, FL; Vera (George) Freeman, Bainbridge GA; Diane Anderson of Thomasville, GA; Cora Lee Anderson of Bainbridge, GA; Lottie (Richard) Knight of Attapulgus, GA; Lillie (James) Cooper of Las Vegas, NV; Rufus Anderson, Westbury, NY; Juanita Bryant of Miami, FL; Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister: Allie Mae Anderson of Attapulgus, GA; three brothers: Norman Harrell and Author Lee Harrell both of St. Pete, FL; H.G.
